Sorry for taking so long to get back...
Long story short, Best Buy refused to take back my new camera that stopped working because... are you ready... it was 4 days past the 30 day mark. I tried to explain that I was away working for the Boy Scouts, and couldn't get back to a Best Buy in time. I was told that they were sorry, but still unable to do anything. So I am using my old camera now, and I had to get a card reader for it. Which I did last night!
So here it goes!!!
Sunday check in went great this week, a little back up at the pool, but aside from that, it was the smoothest week yet...
Here's Joyce getting ready for the Check In...
Troop 552 waiting for supper...
Troop 27 waiting in line to get into the Dining Hall to eat.
Troop 27 was the first to the Opening Campfire...
All in all, a good start to Week 3!!!

Week 2 day 2...
I am really upset. Prior to camp, I purchased a new camera. I wanted to document this summer as much as possible. After 1500+ pictures, and 4 weeks, it died on me today. Now I am going to Best Buy this weekend to get it replaced, but as for the rest of the week, the blog is going to be text only. :(
As for Monday, it was a really good day. The merit badges got under way, and kids all over were having a blast.
The Trailblazers stopped in at the Health Office, and discussed with Nick (The Health Officer) what they were supposed to do if they came across an accident. Almost all of them knew to send someone for help/911, and then secure the area. I was really impressed!
After Supper, Derrick (The Scoutcraft Director)held his Catch and Release session. Anyone who attended it, is now able to fish at CMR.
From there we had the Volleyball Tournament... Half the Camp participated!
It ended up with Troop 77 winning! So Congrats to them!

Week 2 of Boy Scouts has arrived!!!
Now that Webelos and Cubs are behind us, we now can focus on the last 3 weeks of Boy Scouts. This week, we have 13 different Troops, with 170 Scouts, and 60 Leaders. Here we are in our Sunday Pre Check In Meeting, getting prepped for the week ahead...
The check in went the same as Week One, The Scouts met with their Campsite Commissioners, went in to the Health Lodge for a Medical Recheck, to the Pool for their Swimtests, and to the Dining Hall for the Dining Hall Procedures.
Every week I have a meeting the the Senior Patrol Leaders, or SPL's, we discuss various things about camp, and they sign up for duties as well, here are 3 of the SPL's signing in to the meeting.
After supper, we had our Merit Badge Sign-up. Each Scout is allowed to sign up for 3 Merit Badges, that way, we can guarantee them for the Scout. We set up like a college fair. Each program area has their own table, and they try to get Scouts to sign up for their badges. All in all, it is a lot of chaos, and fun!
After the Merit Badge Sign-Up, we had our Opening Campfire... Once again, we had a great start to what will be, another great week at Camp Mountain Run!
More tomorrow!
