Today wrapped up the first week of the 2011 season at CMR. Hard to believe how fast it went. Today was a wrap up day for the Scouts. They had the whole morning to finish up their badges, if they needed to.
We also welcomed a new Staff member. His name is Bobby, and he was a CIT for a Day. A CIT is a Counselor In Training. We have the CIT For A Day program open so Scouts can get a taste of what its like to work on Staff, and hopefully want to do it next year!
Bobby was a big help today, and I hope to see him again next year!
We stopped by the Pool, and saw the BSA Lifeguard class finishing up their requirements.
We had some winners of tournaments this week. Troop 9 from Clearfield PA won the Volleyball Tournament. Troop 26 won the Campsite Inspection Award. Troop 28 from Warren Ohio, won, the Dutch Oven Cook Off, AND the Camp Wide Game. The winner of the IronScout Competition also hailed from Troop 28. Nathan Strauss ran the whole race in 14 minutes, and 22 seconds.
At our closing campfire, we had some great songs and skits, but the song "If I werent a Boy Scout was truly fantastic! I hope you watch and enjoy it!
(SIde Note... My Video was to big to upload... I am working on getting it compressed. It will be up in a day or two.)
Next are the Troop Pictures from this past week.
Next Week, we have 2 sets of Cub and Webelos Weeks!!! Cya in two Days on Sunday!!!
