Day 5... Still Alive...

Well, today has been another great day here at CMR!!!

This is what I woke up to this morning...

Today was "Cook In Your Site" Day here at Camp Mountain Run. I stopped by Troop 28's Campsite to check in on them. They were doing great! They were making Toast and Scrambled Eggs... It wasn't until they were almost done with breakfast that they found the bacon... But they got it cooked quick enough :D

I was walking along the Warming Pond, when a Scout caught his last fish for Fishing Merit Badge.

Today was a MONUMENTAL day here at Camp Mountain Run...

After waiting for 5 long days...

The Slush Puppies arrived!!!!!

Here is Jen, making the first one!!!

Next we had Scouts waiting to go over their First Aid Kits with our Health Officer Nick.

I dropped in on the Soil and Water Conservation Merit Badge class, and they were learning about decomposition. Each group had different materials that had been in dirt all week. It was informative seeing the results!

For Supper, all of Staff was invited to Troop 83's Campsite for Supper! It was great eating with the Troop, and their French Fries deep fried in peanut oil were AWESOME!!! Thanks again from all the staff to Troop 83!

We finished the evening with a Dutch Oven Cook Off.

We had two entries, Troop 13's Skyline Chili, and Troop 28's Black Forest Cake. I can't tell the winner yet.. they are going to find out at the Closing Campfire.
