Well, not really, but it rhymed...
Actually, We started the day off like we always do, with a flag raising ceremony. Today, Troop 413 had the honor. Here at Camp Mountain Run, we have three flags; The United States of America (in the middle) the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, (On the right) and the Bucktail Council flag. (On the left) The U.S. Flag goes up quickly, ahead of the other two. Proper Flag Etiquette states that no other flag shall fly above the Stars and Stripes while being flown on American soil.
We had the first running of the IronScout Competition last night, and it was a success! We had 12 people who ran it. First they had to bike around the upper part of camp, then go to the Archery Range, shoot a round of arrows, then onto the Lakefront, where they had to paddle a canoe a ways. They then had to go back to Hallstrom Lodge, and take a 50 question quiz on Scout History. All in all, it was a great time! I am announcing the winners of the Run on Friday night, after the campfire.
I'll leave you with a few random pictures... Tomorrow is Wednesday... That means...???
