Day 1 of the First Week of camp...

Hey all, I'm back! Today we hosted 12 troops from all over Pennsylvania and Ohio. They all checked in, took their swim tests, and got settled into their campsites without a hitch!

Each Troop had their own Campsite Commissioner to take them through the Check In process. They met them at the Parking Lot, took them to their Campsite, then down to the Health Office for their medical rechecks. Next they went to the Pool for their swim tests.

After that they went back to their campsites, and got dressed for Supper. They put on their Boy Scout Shirts, and went to the Dining Hall. Once there, I lined the troops up in order around the flagpoles. Troop 83 from Johnsonburg PA lowered the flags for us. After that, we got in line for supper.

After Supper everyone went outside the Dining Hall and signed up for Merit Badges. We put a limit of 3 per scout on Sunday Night, that way, we can ensure they get the three they signed up for. After that, everyone went down to Heritage Circle and the Staff put on the Opening Campfire for the Troops.

Heres a little clip from one of the songs...

Every one was singing, and clapping and having a good time.

All in all, it was a great start to hopefully, a great Summer!

Cya tomorrow!
